Welcome to Connie's Corner! I look
forward to sharing "Flower Talk" with you every month, and
please feel free to call (293-5584)
or e-mail (connie@sautters.net)
me with questions or comments.
Okay...lets talk Daisies! Fresh
Gerberas Daisies arrive nearly every day to be used in floral
arrangements and bridal bouquets. This dasy is a versatile
flower so its no wonder florists love to use it in arrangements.
Did you know...the Gerberas Daisy is in the genus of
ornamental plants from the sunflower family of Asteraceae.
Gerberas are available in a myriad of bright colors that include
yellow, orange, red, pink, and of course white.
Another Daisy fact....this bright beauty is the 5th most often used
cut flower in the world, after roses, carnations, mums, and tulips.
If we need another reason to love these plants, research by NASA has
shown growing Gerbera Daisies to be effectual in the removal of Benzene,
a well known carcinogen, from the air.
So next time you need to brighten your day, or that of a loved one,
call us for a Gerbers Daisy bouquet!
